Fair Use Policy

Keeping AgIQ reliable and affordable for every user

We built AgIQ to give users practical, affordable access to a growing set of business and decision-support tools. This Fair Use Policy explains how we keep the service working well for everyone — and the few limits we ask you to respect. It complements our Terms of Service.

1. Our Commitment to You

Agrisoft Solutions will do its utmost to keep AgIQ running, accurate, and useful. We invest continuously in our infrastructure, data, and support so that you can rely on the platform for day-to-day decisions in your business. While no software can promise zero downtime, we treat every interruption seriously and work to resolve issues as quickly as possible.

2. One Device Per License

Each AgIQ subscription is licensed for use on one active device at a time. You are free to switch between devices — for example, replacing a phone or moving to a tablet — but only one device may be signed in and active on a given license at any moment.

If you need multiple people in your operation to use AgIQ, each person requires their own subscription. This keeps pricing honest for everyone and lets us keep our per-user cost low.

3. No Account Sharing

Your login credentials are personal to you. Sharing your username and password with other people — whether family, staff, or colleagues — is not permitted and is treated as a breach of this policy. Account sharing makes it impossible for us to support you properly and undermines the one-device rule above.

4. Reasonable Use

AgIQ is designed for ordinary day-to-day use of the features included in your subscription. Normal human use of those features is unlimited within your plan.

What is not permitted:

  • Automated scripts, bots, or scrapers that interact with the platform at machine speed.
  • Bulk extraction of data, reports, or content beyond what a person would reasonably need for their own operation.
  • Reselling, redistributing, or repackaging AgIQ data, reports, or outputs to third parties.
  • Activity that places a disproportionate load on our infrastructure at the expense of other users.

If you have a legitimate need that looks like any of the above — for example, an agency managing multiple clients, a consultancy, or a research project — please contact us and we will find a fair arrangement.

5. What Happens If the Policy Is Breached

We take a graduated approach. Our goal is always to resolve issues through conversation first:

  • Notice: We will contact you to explain the concern and give you a chance to correct the situation.
  • Temporary suspension: If the issue is not resolved, we may temporarily suspend access until it is.
  • Termination: Repeated or serious breaches may result in termination of the subscription without refund, as set out in our Terms of Service.

In cases involving automated abuse, attempts to bypass device limits, or reselling of data, we may suspend access immediately while we investigate.

6. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Fair Use Policy from time to time as the platform evolves. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and, where appropriate, notify active users through the app or by email. Continued use of AgIQ after an update means you accept the revised policy.

7. Questions

If anything in this policy is unclear, or if you think your use case might be borderline, please reach out before assuming the worst. We would much rather have a conversation than a suspension. Contact us at support@agiq.co.za.
